Robert J. Hoilko, 67 years of Lecanto, FL, passed away suddenly March 5, 2025, at (seven rivers) Tampa General Hospital in Crystal River, FL surrounded by his loving family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He attended Hazleton area schools and graduated from Hazleton High School in 1976.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Robert was active with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard Units in Hazleton, PA. He served as Sargent First Class with Company C876 Engineer Battalion and Company A337th Engineer Battalion before retiring after 24 \u00bd years of service. He was employed as a correction officer at Core Civic Detention Facility prior to retiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He loved spending time with family and friends. He had a special love for Florida theme parks along with cruising on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and spending time at the beach. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in Hazleton, PA, Robert was the son of the late John N. Hoilko, Sr. and Anna Metz (Stashinsky).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Albano) to whom he was married for 30 years and his brother, John N. Hoilko Jr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Surviving is his daughter, Laura Beth Hoilko, Lecanto, FL, stepdaughter Sarah Marie Tallarico, Red Lion, PA., siblings: Carol Silock, Lecanto FL, Michael and wife Sandra Hoilko, Hazle Township, PA and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 12th<\/sup> at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Fr. Bill Santhouse of St. Scholastica Catholic Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the hour of service. Committal services with full Military Honors will be conducted Monday, March 17th<\/sup> at 12:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery. The procession will depart the funeral home for the cemetery at 11:30. Family and friends are invited to join the procession. Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E.
