Born in Largo, FL, she was the daughter of the late Nathan N. and Frances E. (Duke) Shaw. Formerly from St. Petersburg, Carol and her husband, Frank relocated to Citrus County in 1973.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An active member of the OES #164 in Floral City, Carol was Past Matron. She loved time with her family; especially barbeques. Not only was she a wonderful cook, Carol was an accomplished seamstress. Quiet time included her crossword puzzles and word search. And she was a deer hunter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to her loving husband, Frank, left to cherish her memory are her sons, Frank M. Ownbey, Jr. of Knoxville, TN and Sherman (Jean) N. Ownbey of Inverness; brother, Roger Shaw; sister, Virginia; six grandsons; six great grandchildren; and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Nathan, Robert, Richard, Mark, Elizabeth and Martha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Carol on Saturday, February 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Chas. E.
