Lee English, 82, of Lecanto, FL passed away December 27, 2024 at her residence in Lecanto. She was born in Miami, FL on December 25, 1942 to the late Thomas and Ann (Strictland) Mobley. Lee arrived in this area in the 60\u2019s coming from Williston, FL; Lee and David owned Happy Tree Training Farm where she trained horses and held multiple judging cards within the horseshow industry. She was a world renown artist commissioning custom pieces for her clients. Lee founded the Lecanto Levi\u2019s 4-H Club and continued leading the club for many years. After retiring from the horse industry, she quickly became known as the \u201cCorgi Lady\u201d, being an avid dog breeder for over 60 years. She loved competing in dog agility competitions. Callie was her favorite agility partner! Lee was preceded in death by her loving husband, David F. English, and her beloved sister, Oma F. Pantridge. Survivors include her brother Dr. Thomas O. (Cathy) Mobley, her three children Tomi (Gene) Smith, Trina (Tom) Curtin and Todd (Cindy) English; 7 grandchildren- Livia (Dave) Hodge, Laci (Eric) Ryals, Clayton (Nicole) Smith, Tana (Trevor) Lutterman, Heath (Allie) English, Dr. Jeb English, Mary (Michael) Templeton, and 11 great-grandchildren-Michaela (Ricky), Emma, Brianna, Mason, Aubree, Bristol, Maysen, Layton, Daylee, Tillie, Kaylee, and Tyson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A gathering to share memories of Lee will be held at \u201cThe Farm\u201d in Lecanto at a later date. Don\u2019t weep for me for I have not gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
