Robert M Sprute

Robert Mark Sprute, 88, of Inverness, FL passed away December 18, 2024 at HCA Citrus Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Cottonwood, Idaho on February 27, 1936 to the late Andrew J. and Angelika (Gassner). Robert served our country honorable in the U.S Army as a First Sergeant. He arrived in this area in 1978, coming from Aberdeen, MD and attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness. Robert was a member of VFW Post #4337 of Inverness, Post commander; State VFW Commander; both district and state National Council of Ft. McCoy, FL, and was director of the VFW Retirement Home. He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Paul, and Ralph Sprute; and sisters Martha Markion and Winifred May. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Mary A. Klein. Other survivors include his sister Elaine Schumacher of Cottonwood, Idaho. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
