Doris Ann White, 86, of Citrus Springs, died December 8th, 2024 at her home. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Celia (Watson) Oyer. Doris relocated from Dayton, OH to Citrus County two years ago.
The oldest of ten children, she grew up “raising” her younger siblings. Doris actually continued working as a food service professional in care facilities until she was 78 years old. When she retired, Doris had the opportunity to travel, visiting family and friends and enjoying life. Her family describes Doris as the most determined and hard working person they know.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna Jones and granddaughter, Emily Parris of Citrus Springs; grandsons, Christopher White and Adam Collier; twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one on the way.
