Carolyn L. Anderson, age 77, Inverness, Florida passed away October 25, 2024, with both strength and grace in the face of illness.

Carolyn, lovingly known to all as “Lucy” was born in Dothan, AL on March 24, 1947, to the late Dorman and Irene (Roland) Tucker. After graduating from Chattahoochee High School, she worked for the state in Tallahassee and then moved to Pensacola where she met and married Jack, her husband of 56 years. Together they lived in many locations in and outside the country during his Naval career and raised their family. In 2005, they retired and moved to Inverness from New Memphis, IL.

Lucy was a supportive, kind, caring and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed watching deer, birds and other wildlife in her yard, taking drives, watching Hallmark movies, building puzzles, and playing card games with family. She always had an ear to listen and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Her ability to show love and compassion was unmatched.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jack E. Anderson, Inverness, FL; four daughters: Laura Anderson, Tallahassee, FL; Helen Anderson, Brooksville, FL; Sara (Joel) Raney, Jacksonville, FL; Kim (Jeff) Schulz, Bradenton, FL; sister, Sue Butler, Slocomb, AL; twin brother, Othel (Susan) Tucker, Sneads, FL; seven grandchildren, Brendan (LeighAnn),Gerrard, Ryan, Carson, Aaron, Brad, Kaylee and great granddaughter, Laila. In addition, her brothers-in-law Mike and Wayne; many nieces, nephews and longtime dear friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, sister Sibyl Wescovich and brother Roger Tucker.

A graveside Celebration of Life is scheduled at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL. The date of the service is Monday, December 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM
