Roger D Via

Roger Dale Via, of Hernando, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was 77. Roger was born in Mabscott, West Virginia, to Houston Texas and Blanche Coral (Meadows)Via. He and his loving wife, Sherry were married for 36 years although they knew one another in school, being from the same hometown. They moved to Hernando, (Citrus County) Florida after living in Kentucky for several years. Roger loved fishing, especially when family visited. He was a long-time employee of Bowman Distribution and prior to that he worked at Armour Meat Co. Roger never met a stranger. He was always helping others and would have a cup of coffee with anyone. Roger was an active member in his church. Roger was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Hutchinson and his brother, Robert Via. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sherry Via, his daughters, Michele Via Denny (Brian), Angela Via Hariston (Dave), and Rae Anna Fields (Dean), his brother, Jack Via, his sisters, Debbie Wiley, Marita Via, and Marcia Via, his grandchildren, Chelsea Dufour, Alex Denny, Madison Henderson, Brennan Fields and Bryley Fields, and great granddaughter, Journey Grant.
