Byron W Davis

Byron Wilbur Davis, 85, of Inverness, FL passed away October 19, 2024 at Sturgill Hospice in Brooksville, FL. He was born in Burlison, TN on October 9, 1939 to the late Ezra Franklin and Edna May (Smith) Davis. Byron was a boat Marine Mechanic, and arrived in this area in 1998, coming from Pinellas Park, FL. He was Baptist by faith, and enjoyed going to the gun range. Byron was preceded in death by one brother, Donald L. Davis and one sister, Beverly Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nellie Davis. Other survivors include his children, Alan Byron (Melody) Davis of Salem, SC, Linda Gail (Davis) Brown of Lynchburg, TN, Cynthia Gail Davis of Travelers Rest, SC, and Kimberly Ann Davis of Greenville, SC; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2:00pm at Trinity Baptist Church, Inverness. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
