Cheryll Sedlock

Cheryll Lynn Sedlock, of Hernando, passed away at her home under Hospice care on Thursday, October 9, 2024. She was 80. Cheryll was born in Chicago, Illinois to Warren and Myrtle (Norem) Russell. They moved here from St. Charles, Illinois in 2000. Cheryll was a member of many volunteer groups including: the Citrus County Sheriff’s Posse Unit; the Central Florida Master Choir; and was a University of Florida Master Gardener. While in Florida, she worked as a school crossing guard, ran the counter at Pine Ridge golf course, and at the Key Center where she worked not only with the residents, but also in the thrift store. Most of her working career, Cheryll owned her own drapery business, where she would make them and Erv would install them. She thoroughly enjoyed horse back riding, gardening, golfing, playing the piano, singing, kayaking, and thrift shopping. Cheryll was preceded in death by both of her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Ervin Sedlock; her daughter Heather Johnson (Jeff Johnson) of Hernando; her brother Donald Russell (Vicki Russell) of California; her sister Kimberly Wilcox (David Wilcox) of Wisconsin); her two grand doggers Joey and Haley; and many other loving family members. A Celebration of Cheryll’s life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home at 2:00PM, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to time of service.
