Dorothy Cooper

Dorothy M. Cooper, 90, of Inverness, FL passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Hamilton, NJ on March 15, 1934 to the late Charles and Charlotte (McDonough) Kirkland. Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker, and arrived in this area in 2010, coming from Jupiter, FL. She enjoyed shopping, thrift shopping, and gardening. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leland J. Cooper. She is survived by her children, Leland J. (Beverly) Cooper, Jr. of Garland, NC, David J. (Anna) Cooper and Robert B. Cooper (fiancée, Michelle), all of Jupiter, Lisa (Kevin) Wagaman of Inverness, and Nancy (Mark) Markley of Bordentown, NJ; 11 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Gathering of Family and Friends for Dorothy is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 10:00AM until 11:30AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. Interment will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL following the gathering.
