Thomas Gallagher, Jr., age 83, Floral City, FL passed away September 9, 2024 at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice. Tom was born on February 13, 1941 in Camden, NJ to the late Thomas and Edith (Davis) Gallagher and came to this area in 1996 from Tampa, Fl. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and transferred to Civil Service as an Engineer for an additional 15 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 7122 in Floral City , a former Commander of the American Legion Post 225 in Floral City and was a member of the Inverness Eagles Lodge No. 3992 for several years.
Tom is survived by his wife, Stella Scrosati Gallagher of Floral City; a son and daughter, Brian Scrosati-Wing and wife Alexandra of New Hampshire and Gywn A. Young of Floral City; his sister, Barbara Ann Muller of New Jersey; 7 grandchildren: Rhys (Skye) Young, Logan Young, Owen Scrosati-Wing, Hanna Scrosati-Wing, Ezra Scrosati-Wing, Mialora Scrosati-Wing, Mairwen Schosati-Wing. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marcia in 2017, a son Michael in 1995, in addition to his parents.
There is a Celebration of Life scheduled for Friday, September 13th at 11:30 AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Mr. Steve Cassell and friends will officiate and share their memories of Tommy G. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery with V.F.W. Post 7122 officiating.
