Rita Mannella

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest matriarch Rita Pachera Mannella age 94, who passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024, in Orlando, FL surrounded by her beloved family.
Affectionately known to family and friends as Nonna, she was born in Pittsburgh, PA December 6, 1929 to Giovanni and Mary (Sessi) Pachera. She was a devout Roman Catholic by faith and enjoyed saying her rosary on her daily “walkabouts”.
She arrived in the central Florida area in 1992, coming from Allison Park, PA with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books, visiting with friends, and making greeting and birthday cards.
Beloved wife of Robert A. Mannella. Devoted mother to Mark (Cindy) & David (Ann). Cherished Nonna to Joey (Tana), Giovanni (Shelby), Lauren (Jarrod), Marissa, and Christopher (Ellie). Proud Bisnonna to Enzo & Luca. She is reunited with her dear husband Robert, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, and her eldest son, Mark.
Nonna’s stories and wit will be sorely missed, but her teachings are evident in those who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and a gentle spirit that she carried throughout her life. As we remember her warmth and support, we take comfort in the memories that will continue to inspire and guide us.
Per Nonna’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held. She will be interred with her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Arrangements will be handled by Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, 3075 S. Florida Ave. Inverness, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you support your local book drive.
