Leonard C Carmon

Leonard Clyde Carmon, born May 17, 1949, went home to be with his Lord on April 25, 2024. He was born in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Calvin and Laura (Keaton) Carmon. Leonard served in the US Air Force for 9 years, serving in Libya, Africa. After leaving the Air Force he and his wife Cheryl moved back to Florida where he worked as a supervisor for the Food Stamps and Welfare departments with the State of Florida for 20 years. Leonard was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness, where he served as a Deacon and an adult Sunday school teacher. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Cheryl Carmon. In addition to his parents Leonard was preceded in death by his brother Jay O’Neal. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM , with Pastor Darrell Reneau officiating. In lieu of flowers please give to Cornerstone Baptist Church Youth Fund for camp. Len loved the Bible, his golf buddies and Disney. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
