Dana Gore

Dana S. Gore, of Inverness, passed away at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson on Friday, March 29, 2024. He was 58. Dana was born in Boynton Beach, FL to H. Gene Gore and Louise (Oliver) Whiting. He was a lifelong Florida resident. Dana loved ambulances, fire trucks, police cars, and helicopters and anything else that made loud noises. He also had a devious sense of humor and loved to play tricks on his brother and sisters. Dana’s younger brother Chris passed just 15 days prior to Dana’s passing, and the most interesting thing about these two is that they were always together. Dana was also preceded in death by their sister Jodi Seto in 2021. Those left to cherish Dana’s memory are his mom Louise Whiting of Inverness; his dad Gene Gore (Pauline Woodham) of Live Oak; his sister and her husband Kelly and Jonathan Melton of Inverness; his nephew and his wife Kyle and Heather Durr of Live Oak; and his niece and nephew Daniel and Summer Crapps. A celebration of Dana’s life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:30am, in the Davis Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until time of service.
