Robert Hays

Robert L. “Bob” Hays, of Inverness, Florida, passed away at home on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was 93. Bob was born on September 10, 1930 to the late Walter and Carrie (North) Hays in Streator, Illinois. He is a veteran of the US Navy, and served his country proudly. Bob was a machinist by trade, and he loved fishing. He was preceded in death by his children Daniel Hays and Dawn Hillman; and his brothers Donald, Arthur, and Jack Hays. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving companion of many years, Mary Clevenger of Inverness, Florida, his children Dale Hays of Spring Hill, Florida, Diana Stephenson and David Hays, both of Galesburg, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Robert will be interred with Military Funeral Honors at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
