Jimmy Edwards

Jimmy Ray Edwards, of Inverness, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at his home. He was 82. Jimmy was born in Memphis, Tennessee to James and Frances (Wylie) Edwards. He served his country proudly in the US Army, and retired after 33 years of service. Jimmy and his late wife Marilyn moved to this area in 1999 from Kissimmee, and he was very active in the Eagle’s Lodge, Moose Lodge, and VFW Post #4337.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marilyn Edwards of 25 years in 2016, and his son Jason Edwards (Wendy), who passed in January of this year. Those left to cherish his memory are his son Justin Edwards of Tampa; his daughters Tina Horton of Ohio, Sherry Luebbe (Doug) of Ohio, and Tammy Thomas of Ohio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at the VFW Post #4337 on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00pm. Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care.
