Tammie Andrews

Tammie H. Kent Andrews of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 61 in the comfort of her own home. She was born on September 5, 1962, on Smith Island, Maryland, to the late Robert Kent and Laura (Bradshaw) Kent. She leaves behind her son William “Billy” Ray Andrews, her two sisters Connie Evans and Millie Marsh,
many nephews, nieces, and her trusted friend Michael Wagenblast.
She was preceded in death by her two parents and one older brother, Norwood Kent.
She attended Crisfield High School and worked for many years as a banquet and private party coordinator at Port Royal Beach Club and Elks Lodge #2522. She lovingly dedicated her life to caring for her disabled son and has been his sole caretaker for over 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Rinnie, relaxing on her porch, and learning all she could about house plants and gardening. She also spent her time cooking and reading. It always brought a smile to her face to receive pictures and videos of her great nephews and nieces back in Maryland, and she cared deeply about her friends and neighbors.
She is to be cremated at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. She will make one last, long-awaited journey home to her hometown of Rhodes Point on Smith Island. At this time no memorial has been set.
