Kenneth L Olson

Kenneth Lee Olson, age 67, Lecanto, FL passed away suddenly at home on January 5, 2024.
Ken was born in Chicago, IL on July 3,1956 to the late Norman and Virginia Olson. Throughout his life Ken was someone you could count on. He was consistently looking out for others, whether it be as a big brother, an RA in college, a friend, a coworker or just a friendly ear to a person he just met. He took the time to get to know you and make you feel welcome. There are so many lives he has impacted over the years in so many places and so many wonderful memories that he is apart of. After he retired as the Director of Security for an international company in the northern suburbs of Chicago he moved to this area in June of 2022. In just a short amount of time one could already feel the genuine impact Ken was making all around him. Retirement as it turned out, was busier than ever.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Deborah (Syring) Olson of Lecanto, 2 Boys: Benjamin (Stephanie) Olson of Inverness and Joshua (Michelle) Olson of West Chicago, IL; 1 brother, James of Nevada; 1 sister, Catherine Brown of Colorado Springs, CO and 15 grandchildren.
There is a Celebration of Life scheduled for Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Charles E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Ballard of Calvary Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home from 12 noon on Friday until the hour of the service.
