Sandra Lee Joiner

Unexpectedly, and all too soon, Sandra Lee Joiner was taken from this walks of life and is in the hands of our Heavely Father. On the morning of December 14, 2023, she lost her fight with an awful and unforeseen flesh-eating infection and passed away as comfortable and cared for as possible by those at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL.

Sandra was born on April 25, 1959 to the proud parents of Esther M. Blecke and William J. Blecke in Elmhurst, IL. She was the beloved sister of Barbara Reaugh, Vera Ratcliff (deceased), Donna Pocic (deceased), and Diane Boyd. Sandra is survived by loving daughter Jessica Tenorio, grandson Carlos Tenorio, Jr. and her beloved Chihuahua, Cocoa-Puff.

Many knew Sandra as the kind, considerate, and giving person that makes her untimely passing so grievous to hear and believe. Daily, she read from the Good Book and devoted her life to God, attended church, enjoyeded games of Rummy with her sister, Diane, or exchanging meals with the neighbor, Shiela. Sandra enjoyed the beautiful, sunny Florida Beaches, cool mountain getaways, or the leisure of quiet reflection at her home in Bushnell, FL. At times, she would put her hand to needlework and crochet afghans, toys, and other items that she gave away as gifts or used around her home.

Sandra left this earth all too early and her family and friends are saddened by the unexpected loss of her presence in their lives. She is gone but not forgotten and has left a hole in all of us that won’t easily be healed. She will be greatly missed.

Following a brief visitation at the funeral home, she was laid to rest at 4:00 PM, December 22, 2023 in the New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Istachatta, FL under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. There will be a Memorial Service at the Calvary Apostolic Church in Oxford, Fl at a later date.
