Sharon A Owens

Sharon Ann Owens of Hernando passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 25, 2023. She was 80, just shy of 81. She was born in Topeka, KS on October 29, 1942. Sharon was a very proud homemaker, military wife, and mother. She and her family lived in many different and interesting places, before settling down in Florida. She was living in St. Petersburg when her husband passed, then she eventually moved to Hernando. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and planting plants in her garden. Sharon was very involved in and proud of Alanon, and enjoyed her early morning walks with her neighbors. She loved her family, her friends, nature, and her doggie “Sweetie.” Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Gerald N. Owens. She leaves behind her two loving sons Jerry Dike (Andrea) and Michael Dike (Mary); her brother Robert Lamont, Jr.; her sisters Marilyn Walters and Carol Weiss; two grandchildren Meagan and Michael, Jr.; and six grandchildren Tanner, Connor, Braylee, Jaycee, Adrianna, and Lucas. A celebration of her life will be held at the Chas E. Davis Chapel on Sunday October 29, 2023 at 1:00pm. She will be buried with Gerald at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
