David D Dunlap

David D. Dunlap of Hernando died under Vitas Hospice care on September 11, 2023. He was 81. Born in Sod, West Virginia, he and his loving wife of 53 years, Cathryn, moved down to this area in 1987. Following his tour of duty in the US Army, he worked as a boilermaker his entire career until retirement. He worked all over, wherever the work took him. He loved and owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles, as well as Corvettes. Black and red were his favorite colors. David is preceded in death by his brothers, Louie Dunlap and Gary Dunlap. He is survived by his wife Cathryn Dunlap. A service of honor will be held at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 1:00pm. He will be interred in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.
