David L Hein

David L. Hein, 84, of Homosassa, FL passed away September 2, 2023 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Cleveland, OH on February 4, 1939 to the late Oscar and Helen (Gruss) Hein. David was President and CEO of a manufacturing company, and arrived in this area in 2018, coming from Rocky River, OH. He was Catholic by faith, and enjoyed playing basketball, cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams and being with family and friends. He was employed by Chilcote Co. for 43 years, and was a CPA for 52 years. He is survived by his loving wife Connie Lucy Hein of 25 years. Other survivors include his children Susan Hrdlicka (Brian) of Hilton Head Island, SC, Cathleen Godenswager (Mark) of Bay Village, OH, David (Jeanine) Hein and Matthew Hein, both of Rocky River, OH, sister Jacqueline Hertel; and 9 grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
