Richard Lee Thane, of Homosassa, FL passed away July 25, 2023 at Bravera Health in Brooksville, FL. He was born in Caro, MI on August 27, 1935 to the late Richard C. and Helen (Hanes) Thane. Rick served our country Honorably as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army. His career included 25 years of Civil Service. He enjoyed golfing.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Wayne and David Thane. Mourning his loss is his loving wife of 23 years, Toni C. Thane. Other survivors include his children and step-children: Virginia Lynn Thane of Columbus, OH, Janet Thane Thompson (husband, Allen) of Maplesville, AL, Bonnie Marie Thane of Silver Springs, MD, Donald Thomas Howerton (wife, Tracey) of Port Republic, MD, Lori Sheperd of Homosassa, FL, Courtnie Sheperd of Homosassa, FL; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
