Sam F. Betts, Jr., age 91 of Lecanto, FL passed away July 2, 2023 under the loving care of family and Vitas Hospice.
Mr. Betts was born in Brownsville, TX on January 6, 1932 to the late Sam and Thelma (Stamps) Betts. He was employed as a Machinist Supervisor in the Medical Equipment manufacturing industry prior to retirement. He served our country in the U.S. Army.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 70 years, Joyce (Wilken) Betts, 3 children: Sam Betts Jr., Steve Foster, and Scott Fenton; 1 brother, Jack Betts; several grandchildren;
He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Harrell
Graveside Military Honors will be rendered at Florida National Cemetery on July 28, 2023 at 11:00 am. His urn will be placed in the columbarium to rest with his fellow veterans following services. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory assisted the family. Those wishing to be in the procession to Florida National should be at the funeral home by 9:30 am
