Stephen Michael Wolf, 66 of Floral City, passed away March 15, 2023 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Stephen was born on July 28, 1956 in Syracuse, NY to the late Ralph E. and Shirley (Sullivan) Wolf.
He moved to Largo, FL as a young child and stayed there until his teens. When he was eighteen he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, where he served several years, then transferred to the US Marine Corps Reserve.
He was a plastering and stucco contractor for most of his life. He learned the trade from his father and grandfather. Stephen loved to fish, scuba dive and swim in the springs of Florida. He loved football, and was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Tampa Bay Bucs. He was also a very good cook and baker, especially making fudge like his Mom. He was creative making up new recipes. He took care of his mom in her last days and always made her laugh.
Stephen was a loving father, brother, and son, always making everything fun. He wanted to make everyone smile and his laugh was contagious. When talking about problems he would always say “Just kiss it up to God”, and that meant leave it in God’s hands.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Carvis S. Wolf of Hernando and Jonathan J. Wolf of Hernando; his brother, John Wolf of Floral City; his sisters: Mary (Lance) Dotson of Floral City and Lois (Daniel) Scott of Columbia, SC; his 4 grandchildren: Aubryona, Natasha, Leigha and Aurora; his step children: Jason Hays, Chris Hays, Kenneth Carley and Bekah Hernandez; and many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, Stephen’s urn will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Private cremation is under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness.
