Roberta “Robin” L Moffatt

Roberta (Robin) Louise Poore Moffatt, 86, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2023, under HPH Hospice care at home. Robin was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on August 24, 1936 to Richard Lewis Poore and Elsie Bertha Caroline Graf Poore. She moved to Citrus County with her family in 1976. Robin retired from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office as the Jail Administrator with 17 years of service. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn on June 26, 2001. Left to cherish her memory are her children: David E. (Karen) Moffatt, Redmond, OR; Toni (Terry) Scott, Brunswick, MD; Teri Moffatt, Boonsboro, MD; Tammy (Carroll) Holmes, Boonsboro, MD; Donald Moffatt (deceased on July 5, 2001); her siblings: twin brother Robert (Jan) Poore, Inverness, FL; the late Richard Poore, and sister Marie Davidson, Inverness, FL; 7 grandchildren: Aaron Moffatt, Kristin (David) Van Epps, Katie Moffatt, Daniel Wetzel, Emily Moffatt (Mike Castleman), Mallory (Jeff) Studebaker, and Morgan (Nathan) Pomfrey; 8 great grandchildren: Mercedes, Denali, Keenan, Sawyer, Micah, Josephine, Atlee, and Harlan.

Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Inverness on Saturday, February 18 at 4:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM with The Rev. Dr. Byron Brown and Dr. Bishop Doug Alexander officiating. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery on Wednesday, February 22 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robin’s name to the First Baptist Church of Inverness. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness is assisting the family.
