Rolf C Gaertig

Rolf C. Gaertig, 94, of Inverness, FL passed away January 20, 2023 at New Horizon ALF in Inverness. He was born in Hamburg, Germany on August 6, 1928 to the late Caesar and Minna (Junge) Gaertig. Rolf was a machinist, sales manager, and a Jehovah’s Witness by faith. He was a licensed pilot, as well as a semi professional soccer player. Rolf arrived in this area in 1988, coming from Stoughton, MA. He enjoyed reading and doing yard work. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Gaertig, with whom he loved to go on cruises with, and one daughter, Nancy Wilson. He is survived by his daughters Deborah Saraceno (Joseph) of Ocala, FL, and Shirley Vickers (Ronald) of Inverness. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E.
