Barbara A. Hales, age 72, Floral City, FL passed away January 13, 2023 at Citrus Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Barbara was born in Caribou, Maine on January 25, 1950 to the late Felix and Dolores Bouchard and came to this area in 1977 from Connecticut. She was employed as a Teaching Aid in the Citrus County School System. In her earlier years, she was a hairdresser.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mitchell Hales of Chattanooga, TN; her sister, Linda Kelley of Floral City; a nephew, Mason Kelley, Renton, WA; niece, Heather Signoretti of Floral City; grand nephew, Cole Signoretti of Floral City.

Barbara was a kind, adventurous woman who could put a smile on the face of anyone. She had a great affection for cats, which was shown by the many she had taken care for over her lifetime. She also had a love for flowers, and spent a lot of her time tending to and caring for her many beautiful flower gardens. One of her most important passions was her love of music. She listened to many different styles, and owned and played a collection of musical instruments. Barbara was immensely proud of her family and friends, and leaves behind many beautiful memories together.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, January 24th at 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Fr. Claudius Mganga of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic officiating. Cremation is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 1 hour until the service begins.
