Mary Kay O’Hanlon, 74, of Inverness, passed away on January 13, 2023 under the loving care of her daughter and Vitas at Vitas Hospice House in Lecanto. Mary Kay was born on May 14, 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Edward T. and Evelyn (Reichow) Wall. She came to Citrus County in 1977 from Clearwater and worked for Brannen Banks as an administrative assistant. Most recently she was employed at Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church as their beloved secretary.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Deborah Kay O’Hanlon of Inverness; her son-in-law, Bruce Pixley; five grandchildren: Bryce Pixley, Karli Pixley, Christopher Bradberry, Melanie Gray, and Teresa O’Hanlon; step-children: Elizabeth Jennings and Jack S. O’Hanlon. She also leaves her precious Yorkie, Heaven 2 Betsy. Mary Kay also had a very special neighbor, Tonja, who helped care for her. In addition to her parents Mary Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Jack on March 7, 2007.
Following cremation, Mary Kay will be interred with her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
