Robert R. Pearson, 92, formerly of Hernando, FL, passed away January 9, 2023 at Canterfield of Ocala. Robert was born on July 14, 1931 in South Kingston, Rhode Island to the late John Severt Pearson and Marjorie (Williams) Pearson. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Robert was a self employed fuel oil distributor for 30 years. During that time he served on the Richmond Town Council for 10 years and was a member of the Chariho Lions and JC’s.
He came to Citrus County over 30 years ago and attended the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto and was a member of the Citrus Hills Golf Club.
He leaves behind his daughters: Karen Pearson of Wells, ME, Cheryl Matthews of Vernon, VT, Robin Rizzo of Pound Ridge, NY and Linda Tanner of Oak Harbor, WA; sister, Sonja Kenyon of Charlestown, RI; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lois.
Following cremation Robert’s urn will be interred at the White Brook Cemetery in Carolina, RI. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
