Amy L LoCascio

Amy L LoCascio

Amy Louise Gorskie LoCascio, 69, of Inverness, peacefully passed away December 7, 2022 at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River surrounded by her loving family. Amy was born on January 28, 1953 in Yonkers, NY, to the late Raymond C. and Rita M. (Platania) Gorskie. She came to Citrus County 43 years ago from Lakeview, OR. She retired as vice president and branch manager of the Downtown Branch of Brannen Banks (“Bank of Inverness”).

Amy loved all kinds of music, classic rock was her favorite and she loved to dance. She always enjoyed attending Broadway musicals, live concerts and the races. Her favorite travel destinations were the mountains and the beach. She loved the feeling of her feet in the sand. At home she kept busy with games and puzzles, cooking and baking. For Amy there was nothing better than laughing, except making others laugh! But most of all she loved spending time with her family and her many close friends. Amy always had a passion for life and despite her many battles, she never stopped laughing. Amy was one of the kindest, most loving, courageous and strong women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as its head for so many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Charles H. LoCascio; her sons: Joseph R. LoCascio and wife, Kimberly of Belle Isle, FL; Daniel C. LoCascio and wife, Ashley of Tampa, FL; her daughter, Kimberly K. LoCascio of Fairfax, VA; her 4 sisters: Priscilla Gilkey, of Pleasanton, CA; Dinah Bellis, of Cortlandt Manor, NY; Ellen Sumner, of Mohegan Lake, NY; Sara Fischer, of New Fairfield, CT; 5 grandchildren: Tyler, Katherine, Cruz, Leo, and Rhys.
