Wayne Edward Blodgett, Sr., 75, of Inverness, Florida, passed away this morning December 1, 2022, at James A Haley Veterans Hospital after fighting a long battle with ALS.
Wayne was born in Barre, Vermont on November 9, 1947, to Vilus and Pearl Blodgett Sr. Wayne went to Groton High School. Signed up for the US Air Force in 1966.
Wayne then married Rosalie Goodspeed on July 8, 1967. Then he went to Vietnam in 1967 and Thailand in 1968 and Guam. Then the US Air Force National Guard. After retiring from US Air Force.
Wayne majored in Business Administration at Riverside College in California. Graduated Summa Com Laude. Wayne also went to Champlain College in Burlington Vermont in Law Enforcement.
Wayne also owned a mom and pop store in Barre Vermont, called Blodgett’s Market.
Wayne then moved to Florida in 1987 with his family. Where he worked at LaPerle Memorial, Big Lots, Lowes until 2018 when he retired.
Wayne loved to go on cruises, and ride his motorcycle, and listen to the oldies.
Wayne is Survived by his wife, Rosalie Blodgett; his Daughter Kimberly Cote-Blodgett; his Son Wayne Blodgett Jr. His Grandkids Joshua Cote, Ashley Ezzel-din, Aaron Cote, Daniel Brown.
His Great Grandchildren: Hunter Cote, Mohamed Ezzel-din, Madilyn Ezzel-din.
Also, his sisters: Laura Garceau, Ethel Blodgett, Brother Floyd Blodgett.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Vilus and Pearl Blodgett. Brothers: Vilus Blodgett Jr, Nelson Blodgett; and his sister, Faith Blodgett.
