James L Barron

James L. Barron, 85 years of Inverness, passed away November 7, 2022 under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice in Lecanto. He was born March 9, 1937 in Monroe, MI to the late Mary Navare Barron. Jim has been a resident of Citrus County for the past 7 years, and for the last 23 years has been of part time resident of Inverness, previously residing in Flint-Gladwin, MI.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the automotive industry at AC Spark Plug where he was in the maintenance department in Flint, Michigan. He was an avid fisherman, loved boating, enjoyed traveling, and was a large fan of NASCAR. Jim loved his family. Family came first. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Jim was never to busy to sit and have a conversation with family or friends and a have beer.

Jim was predeceased by his mother Mary Barron, and his sisters; Phyllis and Eileen.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Diann T. Barron, and children; Douglas Barron (Denise), Julie Davenport (Ralph), Wendy Amman (Jack), and Kim Lock (Dave Johnston), also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, and all his dearly loved friends.

Jim’s family will have a Celebration of Life for him in Michigan. Cremation with Care arrangements under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.
