Dagmar Richards Lucente, of Inverness passed away on October 31, 2022 at the age of 99. She was the wife of Charles F. Lucente for 67 years until he passed away in 2014. She is survived by her three sons; Charles A. Lucente (Teresa) of Pine Ridge, FL, Randy R. Lucente (Linda) of Kennesaw, GA, and Larry J. Lucente (Sandy) of Bethlehem, PA, eight grandchildren Crystal, Allison, Ashley, Afton, Dana, Gina, Mary, and John, thirteen great grandchildren; Brandon, Brady, Alyssa, Ryan, Afton, Ryals, Ethan, Ryan, Noah, Zachary, Dillion, Michael, and Callen.
She was born June 19, 1923 in Newark, NJ, but spent most of her childhood in South Carolina during the Great Depression. She graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1940 before relocating to Allentown, PA with her parents, Katie and William Richards. Dagmar was the youngest of five children and the only one still at home at that time. Charlie and Dagmar married in 1947 and moved to Miami, FL in 1960 and Inverness in 1987.
Dagmar was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her husband and together they raised 3 boys. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Inverness and the Inverness Women’s Club. After raising her family she took up Golf, and was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the couple’s scrambles.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Katie Richards. Her husband Charles Lucente, and her siblings; John William Richards, Frances Pace, Catherine Lynn, and Mabel Cox.
Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Monday November 14, 2022 at 11AM in Chas E. Davis Funeral Home 3075 S. Florida Ave Inverness. Rev. Lou Ellen Hartley, of First Presbyterian of Inverness will officiate. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to her memorial service. Her cremated remains will rest with Charlie’s at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
