Mary Frances Hepfer, age 98, Inverness, FL passed away October 14, 2022 at Sugarmill Manor Assisted Living. Mary was born in Duluth, MN on August 15, 1924 to the late Henry A. Salby and Almina Houghtaling Salby and came to Citrus Co. in 1967 from Anderson, IN. She retired from Citrus Memorial Hospital as the Director of Medical Records. During her younger years, she served our country in the U.S. Marines.
Left to cherish her memory are 2 children: Robert (Barbara) Hepfer, Inverness, FL; Kevin (Jacquie) Hepfer, Inverness, FL: 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hepfer on March 8, 1989, her son, John Hepfer Jr; her grandson, Brian Hepfer and her brother and sister, Henry “Hank” Salby and Harriet Rakitnachan.
There is a Celebration of Life scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Bishop Doug Alexander of the New Church Without Walls officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
