Anthony F. Preston, 89 years, of Inverness, passed unexpectedly on April 18, 2022, into the loving arms of Jesus. He was born August 29, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Anthony F. Prelesnik, Sr. and Helen (Kalcic) Prelesnik.
He has been a resident of Inverness since 1970, previously residing in North Carolina. He enjoyed traveling to Minnesota, fishing, gardening, and remodeling houses. He would purchase a house, remodel, and resell the house. Anthony was a Veteran of the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Anthony Prelesnik, Sr. and Helen (Farmer) Prelesnik; his wife of 41 years, Lillian Donna (Malstrom) Preston; and son in law, Steven Patrick Hailey.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Kay (Burkhardt) Preston; and his daughters: Pamela Heller (Randy), Barrington, NH; Roxann Hailey Indian Trail, NC; Antonette Levin, Inverness, FL; Tammy Johnson (Brian) Patchogue, NY; his sister, Betty Moorehouse; grandchildren: William Anthony Johnson, Tabitha Gwendolyn (Johnson) Kirshey (Erik), Steven Harris Levin (Amy), Reagan C. Heller (Steve Audia) and Courtney D. Heller (Christina); 3 great grandchildren;
Richter Fox Audia, Grant James Levin, and William Steven Levin. Also survived by
Kay’s sons: Gordon (Susan) Ash, Elk Rapids, MI, Mark (Dorothy) Ash, Inverness, FL, Brian (Penny) Ash, Church Hill, TN; grandchildren: Bradley Ash, Cory (Stephanie) Ash, Jana Ash; and 3 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to his funeral service, with his grandson officiating; Steven Harris Levin, 11am Monday April 25, 2022 from Chas E. Davis Funeral Home 3075 S. Florida Ave Inverness, FL 34450. Visitation will be from 10-11am. He will be laid to rest in Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City
