Frank J Lentsch

Frank John Lentsch, 92 of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on March 14, 2022 at home under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. Frank was born on June 24, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Frank and Amelia (Bach) Lentsch. He came to Citrus County in 1995 from New York.

Frank was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed gardening and reading and was known as Mr. Fixit. Frank was hired as a Frame Man, at the NY Telephone Company and worked his way up to central office supervisor, after several promotions. He retired as a supervisor – consultant from NY Telephone in 1985. For 2 years, 1977-79, he lived and worked in Iran. Frank enjoyed traveling in Europe sightseeing along the way, especially visiting the Caspian Sea. He made a lot of Iranian friends, and learned the Farsi Language, which he spoke fluently. Back in Upstate New York, he owns several acres of land, which they nicknamed, LentschLand.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 68 years, Arlene Lentsch, his son Frank Lentsch and his wife Brenda of Long Island, NY; his brother, Ralph and his wife Doris; his sisters Marie and Emily; three grandchildren: Jamie, William (Elissa) and Frank (Breanna) and great grandchildren: Frank Jr., Joseph, Walter, Axel, Rylee and Charlotte.

Family and friends are invited to his funeral Mass 11am Saturday, April 2, 2022 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 1401 W. Country Club Blvd. Citrus Springs FL 34434, Fr. Sojan Punakkattu officiating. Military Honors immediately following Mass. Burial Private.
Cremation with care under the direction of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
