Janet S. Dixon, 78 of Homosassa, passed away at her home on January 30, 2022. Janet was born in South Bend, Indiana on December 21, 1943, to the late Anthony and Ethel (Ward) Emenaker.
She came to Florida 30 years ago from Elkhart, IN, and resided in Inverness prior to moving to Homosassa. Janet was employed by Pro-Line Boat Manufacturing in Homosassa as a seamstress, retiring after many years. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply and had many friends who will miss her dearly.
Left to Cherish her memory are her children: Warren A. Dixon, III of Homosassa, Mark A. Dixon of Elkhart, IN and Karen S. Chaney of Elkhart, IN; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren A. Dixon, Jr. on May 18, 1994; her brothers: Thomas and Edward Emenaker and her sister Margaret (Peg) Helminger.
Funeral services for Janet will be conducted on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness with Rev. Paul Giglio, officiating. Burial will follow at the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
