Andrew J Walters

Andrew Jackson “AJ” Walters, 93, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away on January 17th, 2022. He was born to the late William M. and Ida Ellen (Shepperd) Walters on January 13th, 1929 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He made Sumter County his home in 1986 when he relocated from Apopka, FL. He enjoyed playing guitar and was a Supervisor for a construction company for many years. He bravely served our country as a member of the United States Army.
AJ was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his wife, Dora, who passed in February of 2021. He was also preceded in death by his sisters and brothers. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Carol Pitts; his sister-in-law, Jessie York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, January 24th, 2022 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Paul Giglio officiating. A visitation will take place at 10:30 AM until the hour of service, at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. AJ will be laid to rest alongside his wife, Dora, at Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL immediately following the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
