Carol A Benz

Carol Ann (Cowan) Benz, 76, of Floral City, FL. formerly of Springville, NY. peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2022.
Carol was born April 19, 1945 to Francis and Alethea (Ahrens) Cowan of Springville, NY and was the youngest of five girls. She worked as a waitress and bartender in several restaurants and establishments in the Western New York area. Carol was a Cancer Survivor and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Carol was a devoted wife and best friend to her husband Lawrence for over 50 years. They moved to Florida 21 years ago where they made their home in Floral City.
Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband Lar.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Michelle Martens (Steven) of Springville, NY; Karl Benz (Cheri) of Kannapolis, NC; Larry D. Benz (Teresa) of Harrisburg, NC; Lori LaCosse (Steve) of West Valley, NY; her sisters Barbara Hebden (late Robert), Marlene Frost (late Carl), Donna Cowan, Sandra Wiedemann (Leland), in addition to thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A combined celebration of life will be held at a later date. Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
