Ralph “Rick” Waldemar, 70, of Inverness, FL, passed away on December 28th after a difficult battle with cancer.

Rick was born on November 22, 1951 to Harry and Virginia Waldemar in the city of Ardsley, NY. After Rick graduated from SUNY Oswego, he moved to FL where he met and married Janice Schultz Waldemar in 1974.

He worked in the counseling field for over 40 years, earned a master’s degree from USF, and retired after twenty years with West Central Florida Driver Improvement. Rick was passionate about his faith. He loved local theatre and was an active participant in the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA).

Rick was predeceased by his parents, Harry & Virginia and his sister Gingy. He is survived by his wife, Janice; his brother, Kenneth Waldemar of New York; his sister Elizabeth Waldemar Finger of Houston, Texas along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Services will be held at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 at 11 AM. Calling hours will begin at 10 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan’s Purse or CMA, both nonprofit organizations about which Rick was passionate.
