Joseph Earl “Joe” Springer, Jr., 79, of Hernando, FL passed away on December 12, 2021 at his home. He was born to the late Joseph E. Springer, Sr. and Bessie Law Springer on August 15, 1942 in Salem, NJ.
He was an Instruments Mechanic at DuPont Chemical Company for many years and honorably served our country as a member of the United States Army. He and his wife of 34 years, Mary Ann, made Citrus County their home 24 years ago when they moved together from New Jersey.
Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing, tinkering in his garage, going out and enjoying a cold beer with his friends, and riding in his Airboat. He was a member of the local VFW, American Legion, and Citrus County Airboat Alliance where he served as Past President.
Those left to cherish his memory, along with his beloved wife, Mary Ann, are his children, Sandra Kearney, Susan Swiderski, Kelli Green, and Michael Skelton; his sister, Carol Scholz; and his five adored grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 from 12-3 PM at Joe and Mary Ann’s home. Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
