Richmond M. “Rich” Wilson, Jr., 75, of Homosassa, FL passed away at his home on December 8th, 2021. He was born to the late Richmond M. Wilson, Sr. and Jane Thompson Wilson on January 15th, 1946, in Greenwood, Mississippi. He bravely served his country as a member of the United States Army for four years.
Rich was a true “Jack of All Trades – he owned multiple businesses throughout his adult life. His most memorable business venture was his car restoration and detailing business, which he ran alongside his late wife, Kristine. He was also a plumber, a candy salesman for vending companies, and many other occupations. He loved to work and provide for his family. He will be remembered for how hard he worked throughout his life. He will also be remembered for enjoying life to its fullest and building relationships with others, especially in his later years, with his wife, Kristine. He loved to talk and enjoy the company of others. He especially loved to make people laugh. He had a strong sense of humor and was always putting a smile on peoples’ faces. He enjoyed fishing and being out on the water, as well as spending time with his family.
Rich, along with his parents, was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kristine. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Rich Wilson III (Sheryl) of Lecanto, FL and Darin Wilson of Homosassa, FL; his brother, Robert “Clark” Wilson; his four cherished grandchildren, Michael, Ian, Rebecca and Madeline; and his beloved dog, Gizmo.
Arrangements for Rich are private at this time. Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
