Verland Lee Barmore, 91, of Inverness, FL passed away November 14, 2021, at Ocala Regional Hospital in Ocala, FL. He was born in Jamestown, NY on January 25, 1930 to the late Merritt and Elsie (Lehnen) Barmore.
Verland was a U.S. Navy veteran and Baptist by faith, attending New Testament Baptist Church in Floral City, FL. He arrived in this area in 1995, coming from Gerry, NY.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Darwin and Russell Barmore. Verland is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Janice Barmore. Other survivors include his sons, Doug Barmore and his wife Kathy of Inverness, and Larry Barmore and his wife Carol of Gerry, NY; brothers Cecil and Dean Barmore; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service was held for Verland at New Testament Baptist Church on Sunday, November 21, at 11:00 A.M. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
