Herbert L Scribner

Herbert Lee Scribner, 87, of Inverness, FL, passed away on October 23rd, 2021 under the care of Citrus Memorial Hospital of Inverness. He was born to the late Clyde Scribner and Calista Avant Scribner Holley on April 25th, 1934 in Winter Garden, FL. He made Citrus County his home in 1992 when he moved from Lilburn, Georgia. He retired as Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force where he bravely served our nation for 20 years.
Herbert enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending time with his family and old Air Force brothers in arms.
Herbert was preceded in death, along with his parents, by his daughter, Marcele Garner. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah; his daughters, Corlis Thornton, Lilburn, GA and Michele Milligan, Lilburn, GA; his brother, Michael Wade Holley; his sisters, Jean Taylor, Wanda Sue Thibodeaux, Joy Golden, and Janice Fernatt; his five cherished grandchildren; his 11 adored great-grandchildren; and his one beloved great-great-grandchild.
Herbert will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1:30 PM. Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
