James Arthur Herman of Hernando, FL and formerly of St. Petersburg, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on August 17, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born on September 13, 1947 in Queens, NY. James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy retiring as a Senior Chief after 25 years of dedicated service. He made Citrus County his home 3 ½ years ago after relocating from St. Petersburg. James was a lifetime member of Hernando VFW #4252 where he enjoyed spending time with his many friends there.
James is survived by his wife of 9 years, Debra Herman; sons: James Herman, Jr., Christopher Herman; daughter, Diana Provone; sisters: Barbara and Diane; and 4 grandchildren.
James’ family is planning a graveside service with military honors at a later date. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
