Delbert Lee Freeze Sr long-time resident of Floral City, FL, passed away on July 24, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born in Iowa, and was the 17th out of 18 Brothers and Sisters. After his service in the Air Force, He continued his love for traveling by acquiring his CDL and driving a Semi truck across the country, after that He worked at Seco for 20+ years as a mechanic where he became Mr. Fix It if he could hear the noise he knew what the problem was, he accomplished all this while balancing being a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Floral City Fire Department. He was an outdoor enthusiast, very family oriented and the best Horseshoe partner ever. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anybody. He loved Peanut butter cookies, carrot cake, goulash and coca cola. He was such a hard worker and had the biggest heart. He loved his family more than ever. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Leo Faye and Verena Catherine Freeze, 8 Sisters,5 Brothers, and Son Delbert L Freeze II . He is survived by Sister Clara L. Proksch, Brothers, Leroy, Leland, Daughter’s Katherine, Linda, Dawn, Veronica and Son Robert, 17 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren with one on the way.
The family is asking for those who wish to show their respects to make a donation to Moffitt Cancer Center in lieu of flowers. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
