Maureen S Whipkey

Maureen Suzanne Whipkey, 64, of Inverness, FL passed away on July 19, 2021 in Inverness. She was born to the late Clarence Owen Jr. and Barbara Timmons Owen on June 24, 1957 in Tampa, FL. She was a very accomplished, award-winning employee at Alcatel Network Systems in Longview, TX for many years. Maureen enjoyed photography, going on cruises, and sitting and watching the ocean, and fishing with her late husband, Dave. She also enjoyed cake-making and made professional cakes for birthdays and weddings of family and friends at no charge.
Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dave Whipkey, her sister, Linda Page, brother-in-law, Arthur Wayne Page, and her brother, Chuck Owen. Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Billy Davis of Inverness, FL and Shauna McKinney (husband Graham) of Lake Jackson, Texas; her brother, Don Lambertson; her sister, Diane Barnett; her five grandchildren, Audrey McKinney, Kade Davis, Cayman Howell, Charley Davis, and Grayson Davis; and her three great-grandchildren, Aibree Davis, Paxton Davis, and Sutton Howell.
Arrangements for Maureen are private. She will be laid to rest at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City, FL at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
