Patrick David Devitt of Lecanto, FL passed away at Diamond Ridge Health and Rehabilitation on July 12, 2021 at the age of 82. He was born to the late Edward P. and Helen F. (Biba) Devitt on June 9, 1939 in Chicago, IL and was Catholic by faith.
Patrick proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed as the Chief Engineer of Klaff Realty in Chicago, IL for over 17 years. He relocated from Chicago in 2001 and made Citrus County his home.
Those left to mourn Patrick’s passing include his brother, Ronald Devitt and his wife Barbara; and sisters: Helen Wheeler and Lois Foy. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Devitt.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Patrick has been scheduled for Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness and will be conducted by Father Tim Cummings of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Patrick will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
