Ruby B Johnson

Ruby Bell Johnson, 95, of Inverness, FL passed away on May 28, 2021 in Inverness, FL under the care of Avante at Inverness. She was born to the late Guy and Mary Katherine (Williams) Dwelly on August 4, 1925 in Carlisle, Kentucky. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and grew all of her own food and helped tend to the family farm. She was married to her beloved husband, Roy Leo Johnson for 61 years before his passing in 2008. Ruby will be remembered for being a good mom and working hard for all of her life.
Along with her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her brothers, L.P. Dwelly and Guy Dwelly, Jr.; her sisters, Ruth Buchanan, Velma Dwelly, Mary Dwelly, and Opal Snapp; and her grandchild, Heidi Ann. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roy Leo Johnson, Jr. of Inverness, FL; her sister, Dena Combs (Raymond) of Jackson, KY; and her beloved nephews, Raymond Combs, Jr. (Paula) and John Combs (Caroline). She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be conducted on Monday, June 7th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
